Who we are

Business information we publish

We publish the names of businesses that AI assistants named in response to published questions. This is information about companies, not about individuals, and it is a record of what a third-party system said, not our assessment of anyone.

Where a business name is also a person’s name, as it often is for a sole trader, that record may constitute personal data. If you want your business removed from our published pages, email us and we will remove it. We will keep a note of the request itself so it is not re-added by the next automated sweep.

Data we collect about you

• Your email address, if you register. We require a work email at your own domain, so we can match you to your business and stop someone else looking up your position.
• Your business and sector, as you confirm them during signup.
• The phrases you choose to track, and the results we measure against them.
• A hashed record of the address used for the free check tool, to stop one visitor exhausting a shared, paid resource. We do not store the address itself.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Why we are allowed to hold it

For registered users, to perform the service you asked for. For the published measurements, our legitimate interest in reporting factually on a public market, balanced against the limited privacy impact of naming a business in a commercial context.

Who else processes it

• Supabase, database and authentication, hosted in the EU.
• Vercel, hosting.
• OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Perplexity, the assistants we put questions to. We send them the published question and nothing about you. Your business name reaches them only if you chose a phrase containing it.

How long we keep it

Measurements are kept indefinitely, a trend line is the product, and it cannot be rebuilt after deletion. Account data is deleted within 30 days of you closing your account.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email privacy@visibility.gi and we will respond within 30 days.
